Auriculotherapy – Your ears could hear your pain

In the past we have heard and experienced therapies like Acupressure, Acupuncture, Reflexology and Hydrotherapy but there is one therapy which rectifies the problems of your body through your ears. It’s not known to many countries, its known to have its roots in China. Auriculotherapy, is what the ear therapy is known as. It is also known as “Auricular therapy”, or “Ear Acupuncture”. It is a unique form of alternative medicine. It is based on the idea that the ear is a micro-system with the entire body represented on the auricle, the outer portion of the ear. All the parts of the body and their stimulations could be controlled from the ear.  Ailments of the entire body are assumed to be treatable by stimulation of the surface of the ear exclusively. Similar mappings are used in reflexology and iridology. But Science has not been able to prove this. These mappings are not based on plainly old Chinese medicine gurus.

The process of  Auriculotherapy, involves puncturing certain parts of the ear to stimulate other parts of  the body. The art is more like acupuncture but the difference is that in acupuncture the palm is punctured but in the case of Auriculotherapy, the ear is pierced. Auriculotherapy is said to get bodies rid of allergies and kidney disorders. Besides it could also get relief of regular migraines and cholesterol problems. It is though a slow process and does not have any scientific proof. It has definitely given relief to many souls and thats the reason it is still known to the world. Though the practitioners of these are very less in number, it has gained the attention of many who now want to learn the art. The process though sounds simple , needs to be carefully tackled. When certain areas are punctures with needles, they assist in healing of the other parts. But these areas of the ear are sensitive and if the needles are wrongly pierced, it could lead to immense pain and side effects. Immense care is vital.

This therapy also could be justified through the sensitivity of the ears. While making out, ears are the most sensitive parts of the body and they could arouse a person and on the other hand when a person loses his senses or while a person is drowning, one should ideally be pulled through the ears. This is because ears are definitely very close to other senses. So if know more that could add to the knowledge of many, please feel free to put it up
